Thanks to all those that came, it was a most enjoyable night.  There was more than enough of food and heaps of competition which was great fun.  Many of us had lots and lots of gutter balls,( I so wish I could have had the bumpers – next time).  Strikes what are those. L , for others there was plenty of those too from everyone, I believe I even got one or was it two. J

Our host for the night Allie (for real), put us to the test.  Left-handed bowling, well that was exciting, and surprising, some did better.

Tiffany made the night interesting, she was all about raising money for the flood victims, most of us owe a bit. The penalty was for every gutter ball $1.00 , strikes .50c, spare .25c.  So just to remind you guys what you owe and to bring to the meeting – Mitchell $1.00, Tiffany $2.75, Wendy $4.35, Des $3.65, Jacqui $2.95, Susanne $5.65, Andrew $4.10, Karen $6.45, Chris $5.25 and Dennis $5.10.  So you can see we didn’t do so well.

By the end we were all very tied, those balls get so so  heavy after 3hrs, my arm felt like it was going to fall off, but all in all it was an excellent fun night, thanks to everyone who can along.

What a beautiful Springwood day, it could not have been more perfect. The sun was out and the wind was minimal.

After a few minor adjustments, lunch got underway, the steaks where cooked very nice and we had a variety of salads to choose from.

A few more drinks and on to bowls, we went down to the green where a young lad waited to guide and coach us the right way to play. Again a few hiccups, but we got there in the end. Only a few knew the right way to play and the rest just made it up as they went along, which was half the fun. There was a lot of competition which made for a very interesting afternoon. We did not win...

I want to thank all those that came along; it was a most enjoyable day.

We started out good everyone arrived on time and there was no rain. We did have one slight problem, I sent an email out to those that were coming to advise them of the rules the brewery had in place especially about enclosed shoes. Some of the people read the email and passed it on to their partners and one did not. We won’t mention names or point the finger. Pictures tell the tale.

The brewery is a very interesting place full of information about the beginnings and the processes of beer. I myself was a little upset that the machines were not running, to see that in full swing would be a site. There were lots of stairs ups and downs we definitely got a workout.

Once to tour was over everyone head to the bar to get their four free drinks. The bbq lunch was simple but nice; you had steak, sausage and a marinated chicken wing with a side of salad and a bread roll.

It was as if we all had stepped back in time as we took a trip on the Gympie rattler. The station was like something out of a western movie with beautiful gardens and quaint tearooms setting the atmosphere for the night. Even the local Gympie paper turned up to take photos of a the group who could only be described as excitable.
