Basic recovery gear is required for trips. The gear every vehicle should have as part of the recovery kit – snatch strap, rated bow or “D” shackles. Each vehicle should have rated recovery points, both front and back. All vehicles should have a UHF radio, either a base unit or handheld unit, especially for medium to hard trips. Some members have spares for new visitors who attend trips. Hayman Reece now have a bow shackle which fits into the tow bar fitting.

“On Track Four Wheel Drive Centre” at Moss Street, Slacks Creek has all the gear, and comes highly recommended by a number of members of the club for any work required to vehicles.
